As the definition of Institutional Investor magazine's Alternative Investment Newsletter indicates, alternative investments include commodities (such as managed futures), financial derivatives, hedge strategies (or absolute return strategies), real estate, and private equity, as well as venture capital. They are supposed to have very low correlation with traditional investment products.

*Accredited Investor-must have a net worth of at least one million US dollars or have made at least $200,000 each year for the last two years ($300,000 with his or her spouse if married) and have the expectation to make the same amount this year.

² Trial Accounts are offered to prospective clients with a minimum of $25,000.  This allows our prospective clients to familiarize themselves with our platform, how we trade (and how we are different from the many other firms available), positions and  securities we work with and our performance.  A special rate of $100 (deducted from deposit) for the first three months applies for the first $25,000, then our normal fee is deducted.
